Friday Night Fun! On Sunday!

I started this card on Friday and finished it on Sunday.
I started with a pre-cut A2 size card.  I used a pre-designed background from Gina Kay called foilmates. I ran that through my laminator, using gold foil and used it for my card mat. I had started coloring this floral scene on Friday using various colors from my Spectrum Nior alcohol marker set. I fussy cut it out.  I popped it up on foam tape. I added sequins as embellishments.  I cut a strip of white card stock and stamped the sentiment in gold embossing powder .  I used Tim Holtz vintage photo and inked up the edges and added some gold thread and adhered to card. The floral and sentiment are from Simon Says new release Floral Bliss.

Friday Night Fun!

Hey Happy Friday. Lets me show you something SpecKathular! Made this butterfly card this evening. Sending Hugs to whomever needs one.  I used pre cut cardstock purchased from Michaels. It's by craft smith and it was on sale for 5 bucks and there are 80 with envelopes in various color! 4 1/4 by 5 /2 What a deal! I cut 80 pound black card stock cut to 4 by 5 1/4 and embossed the butterfly scene with a darice folder. I then with my finger light spread texture past in gold by Faber Castell. I had a piece of watercolor paper I had made earlier in the week using Tim Holtz distress oxide inks and die cut it with a butterfly die I got free from a magazine. I used the same butterfly die cut from Anna Griffin Deco foil kit and adhered together. I cut the hugs die from Lawn fawn. Very simple but very SpecKathular!

Friday Fun!

I have two wonderful women in my life who have made me who I am today..I love them more than words can say....Stella Hilemon and Sharri Morrow.

I used Distress oxide ink from Ranger Tim Holtz in colors....peeled paint, worn lipstick, spiced marmalade, cracked pistachio, fossilized amber, fired brick

I heat embossed Maymay Helms Power Flowers stamp set with Wow white pearl embossing powder and then blended all ink. I then added water and dried with paper towel. The sprayer I used was by Tim holtz.

Some of MayMay's stamps come with files you can download and you cut with your electronic die cut machine. I cut those flowers and leaves out and stamped with her stamps, added wink of stella pen. I popped up on foam tape and adhered the panel. I popped up the flowers with foam squares.  Added a dark coral mat behind the panel. Embellished with mint green ribbon, The mother stamp is also from MayMay called beloved mother

Really enjoyed making this special card for my special moms.

I hope…

Friday Night Cardmaking Fun

It's almost Mother's Day! I am working on my cards to show my Mom's how much I love them and appreciate them!  I got this idea from a youtube video. Split card front panel. What I used are as follows:  Pre-cut card base from Michael's A2 size, green and lavender card stock from Walmart, pretty pink posh sequins, Stitched die cuts to cut mats, stamps used hero arts hydrangea layering set, ink cubes passion flower and grape juice, dew drop inks in various greens. Mother was cut on deco foil toner sheets and art glitter glue to adhere. The inside of flowers I used deco foil glue pen and applied by rubbing the foil on. Inside was stamped with Avery Elle Happy Mother's day.  Not sure where I got the little purple embellish jewels.
